Outpatient, day patient and inpatient hospital stay

Hospital visits may be on an outpatient, day patient or inpatient basis. Outpatient diagnostic services and treatment available at the hospital include radiology, our Doctor's Office Center with about 40 physicians as well as specialist facilities (Obstetrics, Heart catheter laboratory etc.). Day patient treatment is when the patient is admitted and discharged on the same day. An inpatient stay is when the patient stays overnight in the hospital.

Before your hospital stay

Many different questions and concerns can arise before a hospital stay. With the information provided below, we hope to supply you with the most important details concerning admission and your stay at our hospital.

If you have chosen Graz Ragnitz Private Hospital for your treatment in consultation with your personal physician, your doctor will contact our Admission office to make the necessary arrangements (bed, operating room). At the same time, an OR appointment will be scheduled if you require any surgical interventions, endoscopy, or the like. Shortly before your admission for an inpatient stay, you will be invited to visit us for a preparation appointment.

Your attending doctor will choose the time of your discharge from the hospital. On the day of discharge, you will receive a confirmation of your stay at Reception. The typical check-out time at our hospital is by 11 a.m.

Information about fees and billing

Treatments at Graz Ragnitz Private Hospital are provided with or without private supplementary health insurance (self-pay basis). Learn more about cost coverage through your private supplementary insurance and about direct billing agreements between the clinic and your insurance. If you use our services on a self-pay basis, our team will be pleased to provide you with estimated costs.
